Douglas David Ellis Jr.

Douglas “Doug” D. Ellis, Jr., 67, of Mexico passed away July 28, 2025 after a short illness at Upstate University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fulton, he was a Oswego County life resident.

Doug worked in the construction industry retiring as a carpenter from Able Construction. A “jack of all trades”, he enjoyed fixing old cars and being the family handy-man. He spent many hours fishing, enjoyed camping and being outdoors.

Doug was predeceased by his parents, Phoebe O’Bryan-Ellis and Douglas D. Ellis, Sr.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his life companion of 34 years, Linda Burdick; children, Noah Ellis and Courtney Ellis; three grandchildren; siblings, April (Phillip) Vasho, Uri (Donna) Ellis, Joseph (Glenda) Ellis, Melissa (Fred) Wise and Renee (Corey) Olsen; step-children, Dennis Burdick and Kristy Burdick, along with the mother of his children, Betty Ellis.

Calling hours are 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, NY 13069 followed by a celebration of Doug’s life at the Fulton Moose Lodge #1280, 3044 County Route 57, Oswego, NY 13126.
