Dorothy R. Dietz

Obituary of Dorothy R. Dietz Dorothy Ruth Dietz, née Schramm, died on December 20, 2020. She was 97 years old. After a long battle with disease, she passed peacefully in her sleep at the Finger Lakes Center for Living in Auburn, New York. She lived in Fair Haven, New York, for over 50 years. She was born in Richmond Hill, Queens, at her family’s home. She was the beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and great-aunt of many Schramm’s, Klocek’s, Baumler’s, Dietz’s and Essig’s. She is survived by her son, Frank (Heidi) Dietz, and daughter, Chrys (William) Essig. She travelled and lived around the world with her husband of more than 70 years, Frederick Chester Dietz, who predeceased her on September 2nd 2018. She will be missed by family, as well as many friends, who live across the country, locally, and abroad. She will be interred in Springbrook Cemetery with a grave side service in the Spring. Foster Funeral Home in Hannibal, New York, is handling all arrangements. Please donate to the Fair Haven Fire Department in lieu of flowers.
