Obituary of Dorothy J. Burghdurf Dorothy Burghdurf, wife, mother, grandmother, and long-time resident of Phoenix, NY, died Wednesday, May 10th at her daughter’s home in Dauphin Island, Al, surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born in 1931 and went to school in Fulton, NY. She married her husband in 1951 and spent her life as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Dorothy had a strong faith and loved her family above all things. She attended and was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Phoenix, NY. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Freida LePine and a sister Norma Guernsey. She is survived by her husband, Leon Burghdurf; daughter, Bonnie Regan; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Collier and Christopher Regan; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Mason, and Brieanna; sister, Eve Lagodich as well as many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Seventh Street, Fulton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Stephens Church, 469 Main Street, Phoenix, NY 13135, in Dorothy’s memory. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of the arrangements.
