Obituary of Donald H. Knight Donald H. Knight, 92, of Fulton, passed away peacefully with family at his side on March 19, 2019 at Iroquois Nursing Home, Jamesville. He was born on October 30, 1926, in Fulton, to the late James and Emma Guile Knight. Don retired from Niagara Mohawk with over 38 years of service. An active community member, Don served as a past director of Fulton Parks and Recreation, one of Fulton’s original Pop Warner coaches, an avid follower of G. Ray Bodley sports and the Fulton Booster’s Athletic Club. He also followed Eddie Bellinger Sr. and Jr. racing at the Oswego Speedway, a big fan of SU sports and loved the outdoors and hunting. He was a veteran serving in the US Navy during WWII and as a US Marine serving in Korea during the Korean Conflict. Don married the love of his life, Elaine Rowlee, in 1952. He enjoyed his retirement with family, his home projects and spending time with his cherished children and grandchildren. Don would light up a room, always had a sense of humor, always willing to help others and professed a strong work ethic. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elaine of Fulton; four children, Beth Knight of Fulton, Donald “Skip” (Mary Beth) Knight of Fulton, Kurt (Laurie) Knight of MI and Sarah (Cliff) McAlister of VA; nine grandchildren, Karrie Schremp, Alissa (Chad) Bush, Taylor (Hannah) Knight, Amanda (Derek) Pender, Kelsey McAlister, Crystal Bragg, Matthew (Alyssa) Davis, Robert (Kelle) Farrell and Thomas (Jenn) Farrell; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Francis Knight of CA; sister-in-law, Rosiland Knight of NC as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Mark Knight. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, County Route 45, Fulton, with a reception to follow. Donations may be made to one of the following in Don’s memory, Mt.
