Obituary of Dick Wheeler Richard “Dick” Wheeler, 92, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St. Joe’s Hospital due to COVID-19. Born in Fulton, he was a lifelong resident of the area. Dick was enlisted in the US Navy serving during WWII. After his military service, he worked as the head of shipping and receiving for Morrill Press retiring in 1990. Dick enjoyed dancing and singing with the King’s Men quartet and in the Methodist church choir. He was predeceased by his four brothers and one sister. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Molly Lou (Coant) Wheeler; six children, Linda Smith, Lauren Suppes, Marcia “Shan” Warren, Adele (Al) Haskins, Rick Wheeler and Starr (Rich Shoen) Wheeler; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Chuck (Bonnie) Wheeler and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 4-6 pm on Thursday, January 14 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with a service with military honors to follow. Burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery.
