David J. Kesterke

David J. Kesterke, of East Hampton, CT, formerly of Fulton, passed away on August 31, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia (Moore) Kesterke, whom he married on March 4, 2006.

David was the son of the late Norman and Sally (Atkins) Kesterke. He was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School and Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. David had a successful career with General Electric, followed by Mitsubishi Power Americas and Mitsubishi Power Aero where he was the Director of Global Field Service.

An avid sportsman, David was passionate about hockey and was involved with Fulton Youth Hockey and the Syracuse Stars. He loved boating and fishing, both in fresh and saltwater, and enjoyed spending time on the golf course. He appreciated a good cigar and a glass of whiskey, but above all, David was an animal lover who adored his dogs, Charlotte and Cooper.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by his siblings, Pamela and Roger Mirabito, Donald and Susan (Bergen) Kesterke, Richard and Michele (Misch) Kesterke, and Darlene and Shawn Palmatier; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Mirabito, Abbey (Mirabito) and Sean Stevens, Lauren (Kesterke) and Yazan Hamad, Mackenzie Kesterke, Lilia Kesterke, Bradi (Misch) and Kyle Worley, Ryan and Renata (Fontes Mariano) Kesterke, Taylor Kesterke, Kayley Palmatier, and Brenden Palmatier; along with several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s memory to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, John Hopkins Gallbladder and Bile Duct Research, or the Emory University Cholangiocarcinoma Research Fund.
