Obituary of David A. Hendrick David A. Hendrick, 73, of Sterling, NY, passed away on December 5, 2020 at his home. He spent his final days surrounded by his loving family and friends. Dave was born in Oswego on October 19, 1947. He retired from the Millwright Local 1163 in 2013. Dave will be remembered by many fond memories from hunting stories, fixing up old cars, the countless man hours to rebuild his prized Corvette, mentoring and teaching those in his life how to fix or repair just about anything, and even taking time to teach several nieces and nephews to rides bikes, as well as how to fix the bikes up so they had their own to take home. Dave is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deborah “Debbie” Hendrick; his daughter, Vicky Bednar (Rob Lamoreaux); son, Chad (Lisa) Hendrick; daughter, Jess (Chad) Vanvalkenburg; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Khrysha, Jacob and Kayla; two bonus grandchildren, Reagan and Gaige; siblings-in-law, Louis (Joyce) Lagoe, Susan Fuller, Libby (Paul Warner) Walker, Kathy Witham, James (Judy) Lagoe and Holly (Duane) Long; sister, Debbie Benson, along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Frederick Hendrick; mother, Vieonica Sherman Hendrick; mother-in-law, Virginia Lagoe and his sister-in-law, Mary Smart. Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 12 from 10:00am to 12:00pm, with a funeral service to immediately follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 15564 State Route 104, Martville, NY.
