Carl R. Riehle

Carl R. Riehle, 57, of Volney, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse to the late Rudolph Sr. and Betty (Wheeler) Riehle. Carl was raised in Baldwinsville and has been a long time resident of Volney. He worked for many years as the Head Chef for Mother’s Restaurant in Liverpool. Carl was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, but his true passion was cooking. He could create a delicious meal out of anything. Carl would spend his Sundays watching the Dallas Cowboys and cooking. He was predeceased by his brother, Rudolph Riehle, Jr. and his sister, Karen Mackey.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Robin Riehle; three children, Matthew (Stephanie Burnett) Riehle, Samantha Riehle, and Rebecca (Alex) White; his goddaughter, Carley Mathews; five grandchildren, Carter, Styles, Hayden, Mya, and Penelope; nieces and nephews, Steven, Carl “Bubba” (Amanda), and Kayla (“Slim Jim” Tim); his father and mother in law, Donald And Patricia Drogo and Tonya, Sheldon, and Alivia who were like family to him; along with several other nieces and nephews.

In respect to Carl’s wishes, there will be no services. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
