Braeyn J. "Lil Jit" Murray

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Braeyn J. "Lil Jit" "B. Munnea" Murray, who left us far too soon on Sunday, July 26th, 2026, at the age of 17. Born on Thursday, August 28th, 2008, in Oswego, NY, Braeyn was a beloved resident of Fulton, NY, where he touched the lives of many with his vibrant spirit and infectious smile.

Braeyn is survived by his biological parents, Jolene Murray and Luis Velez, and his loving mom and dad, Amanda Grinnell and John Searor Jr. His devoted fiancé, Alexis Eiss. He was a cherished brother to Joseph, Audriana, Alex (Alyssa), Nicholas, Nick, Issiac, Sam "S. Dot", Theresa, Charlotte, Johnny, Zachary, Thomas, Ashley (Jessica), Michael (Tess), Katrina (Ben), Jessy, Joey "J Munnea" (Kay), Miranda (Logan), and Jason (Marissa). His memory will also be treasured by his biological grandmother, Tina Murray, and his grandmother, Katherine Yohler. Braeyn was a proud uncle to his nephew, Eastyn, and a dear friend to his "Bros" David "De De", Elijah "E. Dot", Kevin "Camo", Carson, Lucian "Lu Lu", Brendan "B Spinen", Shane "S. Dot", Louis "LJ", and Stuart "Lil Mans Ross". He leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Preceded in death by his biological grandfather, Nathan "Poppa" Murray, his grandfather, John Yohler, and his brother, Joshua Murray, Braeyn is now reunited with them in eternal peace.

Braeyn was a young man of many passions. He enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and listening to music. He had a knack for making money and dreamed of a future as a professional boxer, aspiring to achieve fame and fortune. Above all, Braeyn cherished the time spent with his friends and family, who were the center of his world.

A visitation to honor Braeyn's life will be held at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY, on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Following the visitation, a celebration of life will take place at 2:00 pm at Scriba Town Park, 803 O'Connor Road, Oswego, NY, where family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate the joy Braeyn brought into their lives.
