Obituary of Barbara K. Stanard Barbara K. Reese Stanard, 70, of Volney passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 8. A native of Niagara Falls, NY, she lived in Volney for 50 years. She worked for State Farm Insurance, Jerry Stanard Agent and Oswego County Department of Social Services. Barbara was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Volney and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had served as NYS Republican Committeewoman representing Oswego County. Barbara enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren; traveling and gardening. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Jerry Stanard of Volney; children, Bryan (Jeanette) Stanard and Kerrie (Paul) Stanard Phillips, all of Volney; grandchildren, Lane, Iz and Bryana; siblings, Marjorie Gray of Brunswick, OH, Robert Reese of Youngstown, NY and James Reese of Fleetville, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 12 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with services 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13 at the funeral home.
