It is with heavy hearts and immeasurable love that we announce the passing of Amy Duval, 59, on October 29, 2026.
Born and raised in Hannibal, New York, Amy was known for her incredible sense of humor, generous heart, and unconditional love for her family.
Amy shared a beautiful love story with her husband of 35 years, Robert Duval. From high school sweethearts, through Robert’s military service, to building a family together, their love was one that lasted a lifetime.
Above all else, family was Amy’s greatest joy. She devoted her life to raising her only son, Matthew, giving him everything she possibly could. Becoming a grandmother to Jack and Jalen brought even more love and happiness into her life.
Amy was also deeply devoted to helping others and giving back to her community. Whether lending a hand at the American Legion or simply being there for someone in need, her kindness and generosity touched countless lives.
Amy leaves behind her loving husband, Robert Duval; her beloved son, Matthew Duval, and his wife, Parris; her cherished grandsons, Jack and Jalen; her mother, Barbara Richards; her sisters, Debbie and Julie; her brother, Terry; and her many beloved nieces and nephews.
We find comfort imagining Amy reunited with her father, John Richards; Uncle Tom; Uncle Pete; Greg “Big Dummy” Handville; John “Potato Head” Woodworth; and the many loved ones who went before her. May they be together again, laughing, sharing memories, and partying it up just like old times.
Amy’s greatest legacy will always be the love she gave, the family she cherished, and the kindness she shared with the world.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten.
